CCTV burglary teen struck whilst on bail for theft offence

Anthony Collis was caught on CCTV

A teenager who's admitted burgling a house in Willaston is already awaiting sentencing for another theft matter.

18-year-old Anthony Collis appeared at Douglas Courthouse yesterday where he admitted stealing money and cigarettes on October 19th whilst the property's owner, and her son, slept.

Internal CCTV caught him in the act - the Douglas man then handed himself into police after the footage was made public.

It marked his second court appearance of the week - on Tuesday he pleaded guilty to charges of theft and obtaining money by deception.

In September he stole an Xbox game and equipment from a friend before selling it on to Phaze 2 - he told police he needed the £77 he gained to pay off a debt.

Collis has been remanded at the Isle of Man Prison until his next appearance before the Court of General Gaol Delivery on Friday.
