16 Points Needed to Claim Green Jersey in Paris

It’s the final day of the Tour De France today and the last chance for Manx rider Mark Cavendish to pull off the near impossible and get the 16 points needed to claim the Green Jersey.

He won Friday’s stage to keep him in contention for the jersey but an earlier poor start to the tour may have scuppered his chances, with Thor Hushovd still a favourite.

Cav has been battling Bronchitis for the past week and praised his HTC-Columbia team for helping him through the stages.

Today’s final stage will climax with a dramatic sprint finish under the Champs-Elysees in Paris.
