A defective car has been seized by police as part of an annual campaign to crack down on unroadworthy vehicles.
Spot checks began this week to make sure vehicles are road-worthy ahead of the winter months.
Drivers are being urged to conduct regular vehicle checks including oil, water and electrics as well as making sure wipers and tyres are in good condition.
