A wildlife charity says it's seen its first abandoned gull chick of the year.
On Facebook, the Manx SPCA says chicks can fall off rooftops and into streets - they can be put back near nests if it's safe to do so, but healthy fledgelings should be left alone unless they're in immediate danger.
The Foxdale-based organisation says it cares for a number of chicks each year and they eat significant amounts of food.
It's appealing for donations of tinned cat or dog food to help out.
