A cemetery in the south of the Island could be getting an expansion.
The churchwardens of Malew and Santon have applied for planning permission to extend the burial ground at Great Meadow in Castletown.
In their application, they say they want to use a piece of land on its eastern side, after an application for a different field was turned down five years ago.
And they add the cemetery outside Malew Church is full - and the extra space would meet demand for at least another decade.
