Beach cleaning charity Beach Buddies is taking on the task of clearing Douglas beach before the annual New Year's dip.
They're encouraging volunteers take part in removing seaweed and other items to make it as safe as possible for those taking part.
Among the dippers this year is the Lieutenant Governor and his wife, who are raising money for Breast Cancer Now and Beach Buddies.
Beach clean volunteers are asked to gather at 10:30am on New Year's Day in front of the Queen's Hotel on Douglas Promenade.
The Douglas Beach dip will take place at midday.
