Police have confirmed the body of a man has been found in Ramsey.
At around 10.30am yesterday emergency services assisted, by members of the public recovered the body of a deceased male from the foreshore in the area of Ramsey Lifeboat Station.
At this time the death is being treated as unexplained and the Police have notified and are assisting the family.
Police would urge the public not to speculate into this matter by the use of social media.
If anyone has any information that they feel may be of assistance in particular if anyone has seen a white male, aged approximately 50 years, approx. 6ft tall with a stocky build, wearing dark coloured work clothes and white trainers in or around Ramsey Town on Friday evening into Saturday morning, then please contact Douglas Headquarters on 631212.
