A motorcyclist has been killed following a fatal three-vehicle collision on the Mountain Road this morning.
The incident happened at approximately 11.20am between the Creg Ny Baa and Brandish corner, where the rider from Merseyside suffered serious injuries.
He was transferred to Noble's Hospital where he later died.
The collision also involved a Mercedes van being driven by a visitor from Northern Ireland and a Ford Kuga driven by an Island resident, nobody else was injured.
The road remained closed until 2.50pm while Police investigated the incident.
Officers have thanked members of the public who helped at the scene, and are asking anyone who saw the collision to contact Police headquarters.
