The Steam Packet Company says the Ben my Chree is now on her way to Heysham, after turning back when a passenger fell ill earlier.
She set out for Heysham this morning, but turned back after a passenger suffered a medical emergency.
An ambulance crew met the ship when she arrived back in Douglas and took the passenger to Noble’s Hospital
The boat has now left again, around an hour behind schedule.
