Around £16.5k in expenses to non-governmental board members

The Department for Enterprise says it's paid almost £16,500 in expenses to non-governmental board members over the last three years.

A Freedom of Information request asked for the details of volunteers helping run agencies which promote the Isle of Man.

In its response, the DfE said since 2022 Visit Isle of Man board members claimed just under £13,000, while Business Isle of Man claimed just under £3,000 and Digital Isle of Man members claimed just under £500.

The payments cover travel and accommodation costs for those who live off-Island and come to meetings here, or who live on the Island and travel elsewhere for events promoting industry.
