The amount of people needing emergency care in 2022/23 went up by 6.2% on the previous year.
Attendances to A&E and Ramsey's Minor Injuries Unit increased by 2,564 according to a report by Manx Care.
Due to this increase, the health organisation says its performance was impacted, meaning only 69.9% of patients were admitted, discharged or transferred within 4 hours.
This figure is down from 74.5% in 2021/22 - the aim is 95%.
Manx Care adds that the Emergency Department at Noble's was originally designed to accommodate up to 20,000 attendances per year, and they are now exceeding 30,000 which is increasing pressure on the space.
