Alfred Cannan is the Island's new Chief Minister.
He was voted in by members of the House of Keys this morning.
He secured 14 votes - gaining approval from MHK's - Kate Lord-Brennan, Jane Poole Wilson, Julie Edge, Rob Callister, Stuart Peters, Tim Crookall, David Ashford, Ann Corlett, Alf Cannan, Jason Moorhouse, Tim Glover, Clare Barber, Tim Johnston and Andrew Smith.
Meanwhile, Dr Alex Allinson secured eight votes - with the support of Daphne Caine, Michelle Haywood, Lawrie Hooper, Alex Allinson, Sarah Maltby, Joney Faragher, Claire Christian and Laurence Skelly.

There was another election today, with Garff MHK Daphne Caine elected to the position of deputy speaker.
