The Department of Infrastructure says it'll start replacing radar equipment at Ronaldsway Airport next year.
In the House of Keys this week, Infrastructure Minister Tim Crookall faced questions from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about the systems.
Mr Crookall said the primary radar was taken out of service last November after it deteriorated and couldn't be fixed.
He added the airport still has enough radar capabilities:
