The UK Ministry of Justice is expected to make a decision on the status of the Island’s acting Attorney General imminently.
That’s according to the Chief Minister who says he expects John Quinn, who's been in the role for 12 months, to remain in the position.
It follows the suspension of current Attorney General Stephen Harding who remains suspended following a court case.
South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft will today ask when the Ministry of Justice was approached regarding an extension.
Allan Bell says the delay is because it’s not a decision which can be made by government:
MHK to present immigration petition to Tynwald
Injured walker rescued from Snaefell
Town centre road shut for five days this week
Royal Assent for laws giving parents and carers more rights
New cafe opens in iconic former pub
Have your say on the Island's childcare
Service to be held for long-serving RNLI volunteer
Road in south to shut for cat's eyes installation
