Summer is here and with the sunshine brings rare marine life to the Island’s coasts!
A sun fish has been spotted off the shore of Marine Drive in Douglas by a local, which was shared to charity Manx Whale and Dolphin Watch.
It’s one of only a handful spotted near the Island in the last 10 years - two others were seen in 2023.
Sun fish, or Mola mola, are the world’s largest fish with bones and typically swim on their side with their fin flapping above water for stability.
