59 Year Old Man Jailed For Grooming Young Male

A 59 Year Old Local Man was yesterday sentenced to 16 month custody after pleading guilty to a charge of grooming a 15 year old boy.

Anthony Edward Duggan committed the offence in July 2009, when he plied the young male with cigarettes and alcohol with the intention of engaging in sexual activity with him, despite knowing his age.

Mr Duggan was arrested before any actual abuse occurred.

The Cleaning Supervisor from Douglas has also been placed on the Sex Offenders Register for 5 years.
