Douglas Council will spend more than £17,000 to carry out urgent work on trees in Harcroft Meadow and the local authority's golf course.
At its last meeting, the regeneration and community committee heard a backlog of work and inspections had built up because of a lack of staff.
Councillors were told a specialist contractor would help cut the backlog and free up parks staff.
The committee voted to spend £17,175 on a specialist contractor to carry out the priority work.
