Legislative Council members are to hear evidence about the possible effects of getting rid of 1p, 2p and 5p coins when they sit this week.
The Treasury (Miscellaneous Provisions) Bill 2024 will enter its evidence stage in Tynwald's upper chamber when MLCs this week.
The new law would give the government powers to scrap the lower denomination coins in future.
