1st Day Of Term Could Be Affected As Manx Teachers Can't get Back To Island

As a result of the airport closure mail services are delayed and there's concern about schools fully opening on Monday.

The Department of Education and Children have released a statement saying that they are getting calls from teachers stranded in the UK and further afield.

Depending upon the numbers of teaching staff who are stranded and unable to report for work, there may be an impact on the ability of a school to open fully on Monday.
