Onchan Commissioners have agreed to spend £10,000 improving drainage at the village's raceway after problems with flooding.
At its last meeting, the local authority considered problems at Onchan Football Club, where water from the pitch was interfering with the stock car track.
Members heard Onchan Raceway Limited, which recently signed a new lease had asked for the improvements and agreeing them might improve relations with the company.
The board voted to spend the cash undertaking the work this year.
