A Manx Utilities worker who claimed he'd been unfairly dismissed has had his case thrown out - after he claimed it took 10 days for his complaint to arrive by post.
Steven Edward Brew tried to take his case to an employment tribunal after being sacked for gross misconduct in August.
In evidence, he said posted a letter to the tribunal a couple of days before a three-month deadline for the case to be heard, but the tribunal received it 10 days later.
Chairman Douglas Stewart said Mr Brew took an unacceptable risk leaving it so late to complain and ruled the case out of time, dismissing it.
