Manx Utilities says only around 10 smart electricity meters caused difficulties during installation - out of 34,778 put in.
A Freedom of Information request asked for figures about the cost and reliability of the units after a four-year programme to install them around the Island.
In its response, the organisation said it had spent £15.7 million on the project and just 0.03 per cent of installations led to concern or complaints.
And it says around another 140 meters were ineffective because of poor signal reception.
