The Island ship register will celebrate its 40th birthday this year.
The Isle of Man Ship Registry was founded in 1984.
It's planning to host events during the Island's maritime conference later this month, and in London later this year.
Director Cameron Mitchell says since it was set up, the Island's register has become a quality flag of choice for the shipping industry.
