Chilli fest to feature pepper eating competition

The Island's only chilli farm says it's hoping to blow people's minds - and taste buds - at a special event next weekend.

Fire Island has organised a Chilli & BBQ Festival in Castletown Square from 2pm to 9pm on Saturday, September 21.

The company says there'll be live entertainment as well as a variety of food producers with spicy treats, including chilli cocktails from Fynoderee.

And the event will also include the first Fire Island Chilli Eating Competition - which it says is only for the very brave!
