Zero drugs policy at Mannifest 2011

Police and organisers taking a hard line on anyone caught with drugs

The Police have put out a warning to everyone attending the Mannifest festival this weekend that they will be operating a zero drugs policy.

They say the organisers have strived to establish a family friendly event with the Police working closely with them to achieve this.

The warning comes in the week it was revealed that there is a batch of super strength ecstasy doing the rounds that is said to be highly dangerous.

The Police will be enforcing their message with the use of drug sniffer dogs that will be on regular patrol.

It’s hoped this year's festival will echo last years where the police didn’t have to make a single arrest.
