Ronaldsway Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning for tonight.
The warning for coastal overtopping runs from 8.30pm until 12.30am tomorrow morning.
Forecasters say strong to gale force winds will combine with rough seas to give some overtopping around the time of high tide shortly before 10.30pm.
Areas most at risk include Douglas, Laxey, Castletown and Ramsey promenades, as well as Shore Road in Rushen and Chapel Bay in Port St. Mary.
