A yellow weather warning for 'ice and wintry showers' is in place on the island this morning (Friday).
The Met Office said adverse conditions are expected until 09:00 with minimum temperatures of around 3 degrees.
A spokesman said isolated wintry showers throughout the day could lead to difficult driving conditions in some areas.
