There's a yellow weather warning in place this afternoon (Friday) for 'coastal overtopping'.
It's going to get choppy between 13:00 and 15:00 this afternoon.
The met office said the promenades likely to be affected are Laxey, Ramsey, Douglas, Castletown and Shore Road in Rushen.
