Would government back the Steam Packet if it laid off its staff before rehiring them with different contracts?
That's the question on the lips of Douglas East MHK Joney Faragher, who'll quiz Treasury Minister Alex Allinson about the issue in the House of Keys.
When members sit on Tuesday, she'll ask if the Treasury would support the Steam Packet Company adopting a fire and rehire approach to staff terms and conditions.
The company is currently embroiled in a dispute with the Nautilus union over terms and conditions.
