Manx-based start-up 'Digitech Applications Limited' has announced the creation of 'DementiaLog'.
Those behind the technology describe it as a 'care companion app' designed to provide tools to record, monitor and understand daily changes in mood, behaviour and overall physical wellbeing.
Creators say by logging activities and routines, carers can capture the subtle patterns that often hold the key to better care and quality of life.
Company founder, Claire Watson said, 'One in three people in the UK are estimated to develop dementia in their lifetime and caring for them is hard. Our goal for DementiaLog is to try and make the caregiving journey just that little bit easier.'
DementiaLog is available to download now from the iOS App Store, with prices starting from £14.99 per year.
You can find out more information about Dementia Log on its website.
