World Record holder launches Vision Awareness Week

A world record holder has launched the Island's first Vision Awareness Week.

The world's 'fastest blind man' Steve Cunningham officially opened the event yesterday. 
 
He lost his sight at the age of 12, but has gone on to set records in a car, powerboat and plane.
 
Steve told us it hasn't disabled him, but given him the means to fulfil his dreams: 
 
 
Speaking at the launch, chief executive officer of the Manx Blind Welfare Society, Ian Cooil, says how people with sight can help make life easier for those without it:
