Part of Breakwater Road in Port Erin is to close for around a year as work gets underway to redevelop the former Marine Biological Station.
In September, Delgatie Limited was given permission to transform the site into 58 flats, 14 tourist apartments, an exhibition space and a pub/restaurant.
The first phase of the works will see the road layout changed to accommodate the new facilities, and the road will shut from December 2 until November 28 next year.
One-way restrictions on the lower section of Breakwater Road will be suspended, and parking will be banned on the seaward side between the Lifeboat Station and the breakwater itself.
