Work to improve the Noble's Park football pitches is underway, says Douglas Council.
Douglas and District FC has put forward £10,000 towards the project, which aims to make playing conditions better.
Around 30 home matches are played on the grounds by the club every season.
The first phase of work involves stripping the pitch's topsoil.
