Douglas Council say a waterplay area in Noble's Park should be open in time for the summer.
In July, the local authority applied for planning permission for the new facility after setting aside money in this year's budget.
Now, it says the building contract for the splash pad area in the park has been awarded.
Construction will start next month, and the council plans to open the area at the end of spring or the start of summer.
