Work Progresses Well in Port St Mary
Good progress was made on securing the landslide site in Port St Mary yesterday.
Survey works on the road and surrounding houses were carried out and all of the water supplies were reinstated to each property.
There were some small mud slides throughout the day which made work to stabalise the ground significantly more difficult.
Already 200 tonnes of stone has been delivered from the Poortown quarry, it’s expected a further 300 tonnes will be used before the job is done.
A DOT representative said work is well on it’s way to get the wall underpinned before the arrival of heavy rain predicted for the weekend.
