Work has begun to transform a pathway in Ramsey as part of government plans to get people walking and cycling more.
The Department of Infrastructure is upgrading the route between Grove Mount and Bay View as part of the government's Active Travel Strategy, as well as making it wheelchair friendly for the first time.
As a result, the section has been closed with the project expected to take around three to four weeks to complete.
Officials say the development of the area will give a direct, easy, safe and all-weather route to Ramsey’s centre from the northern housing estates, together with easier access to the Mooragh Park.
