Infrastructure Minister hopes that major redevelopment of Pier will happen down the line
The Department of Infrastructure have confirmed that they expect work on the Queen’s Pier in Ramsey to be finished before Christmas.
The Stabilisation and Protection scheme got underway earlier in the month.
It’s geared toward establishing a secure and safe central walkway along the Pier, this will ensure it’s safe for inspectors and any future works to be carried out.
The Pier furniture and railings will also be removed and placed into storage to prevent any further deterioration.
Infrastructure Minister has said he hopes this work will pave the way for a major redevelopment whenever the money is available.
