The Manx Electric Railway season is now underway after a last minute effort to complete all essential track maintenance works.
Sections of the track were left badly damaged following the prolonged bad weather throughout the last two winters.
Landslides, drainage issues and flooding contributed to a bill of nearly £600,000 that had to be found from the former DCCL’s budgets.
Director of public transport Ian Longworth says now the works have been completed it will hopefully be another record breaking summer:
