Woodford Campaign Manager Arrested In Proxy Vote Investigation
The 54-year-old man arrested yesterday regarding corrupt or illegal
practice over proxy voting has been named locally as Kevin Woodford’s
campaign manager, Buster Lewin.
The Police haven’t yet confirmed the details, but they did say the man
was held for questioning all day yesterday and has since been released
on bail.
Regardless of the controversy going on behind the scenes the election
will still go ahead as planned tonight with the polling station closing
at 8 o clock.
The results will be revealed later on in the Town Hall.
The other candidates are Kate Beecroft, Colin Cain, Chris Heath, John Joughin and Chris Robertshaw.
