Police are appealing for help after a woman was robbed of around £5,000 in Douglas yesterday afternoon.
The incident took place in the service lane behind the Rosemount Pub at around 2.35pm.
She suffered minor injuries after a struggle with the offender who is described as a man in his early to mid-twenties.
He was between 5’6” and 5’8” with dark stubble and wearing a black hooded top.
Police are trying to find the black imitation leather handbag – which contained a number of personal items – and are asking residents to check their bins, yards and gardens.
Anyone who has information is asked to contact Police Headquarters.
