A woman had to be rescued from a flat in Douglas after a fire broke out.
The blaze was reported in the early hours of yesterday morning in a flat on Kensington Avenue.
The flat was heavily smoke logged.
The female was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation and was taken to hospital.
Fire crews remained on the scene to ensure the fire was fully extinguished.
The fire is not being treated as suspicious.
