Police are appealing for information after an incident left a woman injured and needing hospital treatment.
It happened yesterday between 7pm and 8pm in the area of Ballacottier Meadows in Douglas.
Police have reassured the public that this was a contained incident and that there is no danger or threat to anyone else.
The injured woman has received treatment - a man is now helping the police with their enquires.
