A Douglas woman’s appeared in court over an alleged benefit fraud which took place over more than four years.
63 year old Irene Carus of Castlemona Avenue in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
She hasn’t yet entered pleas to five counts of making false representations to obtain benefits and one of failing to inform officials of a change in circumstances between March 2016 and February this year.
Magistrates adjourned her case and she’ll appear in court again on November 24.
