A woman who tried to intimidate a witness has been handed a suspended sentence.
48 year old Izabella Goralczyk of Empire Terrace in Douglas denied the offence but was found guilty by magistrates after a trial.
The court heard her boyfriend was accused of assaulting a woman and Goralczyk went to her home and repeatedly demanded she withdraw her complaint.
Magistrates sentenced her to 16 weeks in jail suspended for a year, and banned her from entering licensed premises for 12 months.
Separately, she was fined £350 for being drunk and indecent after police found her urinating on Broadway in Douglas.
