Police say they’re investigating after a woman died in Douglas last night.
Officers say at around 9.20pm an altercation happened outside the Palace Hotel on Central Promenade – a 57 year old Merseyside woman was assaulted and later died in Nobles Hospital.
A 53 year old man from Merseyside has been arrested.
Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward if they saw people between Jaks Bar and the Palace Hotel at around 9pm last night, as well as asking anyone with dash cam footage to get in touch.
