A woman’s admitted fraudulently claiming almost £30,000 in benefits over more than a year.
Victoria Jane Ross of Ballure in Maughold appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
The 32 year old pleaded guilty to making a false representation to obtain benefits between March 2021 and October last year.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing Ross hadn’t told officials her partner had been living with her and supporting her, resulting in an overpayment of £29,923.
Mrs Hughes asked for pre-sentencing reports to be prepared and bailed Ross in the sum of £500 to appear again on April 11.
