A woman has been ordered to do community service and spend two years on probation after admitting a £30,000 benefits fraud.
Victoria Jane Ross of Ballure in Maughold appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
At an earlier hearing, the 33 year old admitted making false representations to obtain benefits between March 2021 and October last year.
The court heard she hadn’t told benefits staff her partner had moved into her home with her, and the mum of four was repaying the cash at the rate of £20 per week.
Mrs Hughes ordered her to do 120 hours of community service and spend two years under the supervision of the probation service.
She’ll also pay £100 in prosecution costs.
