Witnesses sought to serious assault in Douglas

Police are seeking information to a serious assault, which took place around 10pm on Thursday.

The Police would like to speak to a number of possible witnesses who alerted officers on foot patrol to the assault, and also a couple who were seen to walk past the area at the relevant time.

Although the incident was serious, the police would like to reassure the public that all the parties involved in the incident were known to each other and there was no direct threat to any other member of the general public.
