Police have confirmed a man has been arrested following an incident in Laxey earlier this week.
An appeal was issued for witnesses after someone was left with substantial injuries to their face in the area of Minorca Hill on Tuesday night.
A man has now been arrested and released on bail pending further enquiries.
Officers say a number of witnesses came forward and thank the public for their help.
