The Fire and Rescue Service says it now has special equipment to tackle solar panel and electric vehicle fires.
In a Facebook post, it says as technology and lifestyles change, it has to adapt to deal with possible incidents.
Firefighters now have a special extinguisher that sprays onto solar panels to turn off systems in seconds.
And a special fire blanket can now be spread over electric vehicles to prevent blazes spreading.
